The Flash S1E10: “Going Slower”

Standard

By MIna Haq

“The Flash” is back after a long midseason break, and Barry has some difficult choices to make. In the first episode of the New Year, Barry deals with old foe Leonard Snart (aka Captain Cold) as well as the decision to focus on enhancing his abilities versus trying to save everyone all the time. Meanwhile, Caitlin looks into Firestorm and Iris moves in with Eddie despite knowing that Barry’s in love with her.

Justified S6E1: “Fate’s Right Hand”

Standard

By Josh Logue

It’s good to be back.

And not just because it’s cold and snowy outside and the first episode of “Justified’s” final season opens with a brief scene of Winona and baby Willa in Florida before jumping quickly over to Raylan and a muggy-looking Mexican bar. I won’t lie though, that may have put me in a pretty agreeable mood.

Big Bang Theory S8E12: “Son of a Biscuit”

Standard

By Josh Axelrod

“The Space Probe Disintegration” seemed like it was going to be nothing more than an average “Big Bang Theory” episode. Leonard, Sheldon, Amy, and Penny were in the middle of a minor conflict that was barely a blip on the radar for all parties involved. The show’s true power couple, Howard and Raj, were off on their own misadventure. Then things got weirdly emotional, with multiple characters venting their frustrations with certain aspects of their lives. A standard episode became a memorable one just like that.

Mindy Project S3E12: Medically Blonde

Standard

We shouldn’t still have to note this, but it was nice to see “Mindy” use its entire ensemble well again. Every member of the cast got a moment or two to shine, and the guest stars brought their A-games. There was one scene, though, that stood out from the rest:
