As far as the night’s winners go, last night’s Emmy awards were far from surprising. It seems the Emmy judges only watch “Modern Family” and “Breaking Bad” (though the latter actually deserved its awards). But everything in between the awards, you know the stuff that makes the show last three hours, was full of unexpected laughs, led by the amazing Seth Meyers.
In no particular order, here are some moments that stood out to us from Binge Central.
1. Billy Eichner’s special “Billy on the Street” segment
“Billy on the Street” can be hit or miss depending on the guests on the show, but this one was definitely a hit. Wow, do this many people really not know what an Emmy looks like or who Seth Meyers is? I guess they have lives…
Red was the color of television’s biggest night. While there weren’t any outright disastrous red carpet looks (okay, Lena Dunham’s was questionable), there was some fantastic standout looks and even some surprises. The problem with wearing red on a red carpet, besides the fact that your couture blends in with a carpet, is that it gets monotonous after the fifth gown. But, some of the best gowns were the ones that didn’t conform. Here were Binge Central’s top five looks of the night:
