Big Bang Theory S8E12: “Son of a Biscuit”

Standard

By Josh Axelrod

“The Space Probe Disintegration” seemed like it was going to be nothing more than an average “Big Bang Theory” episode. Leonard, Sheldon, Amy, and Penny were in the middle of a minor conflict that was barely a blip on the radar for all parties involved. The show’s true power couple, Howard and Raj, were off on their own misadventure. Then things got weirdly emotional, with multiple characters venting their frustrations with certain aspects of their lives. A standard episode became a memorable one just like that.

ONCE UPON A TIME, S4E10 ROUNDTABLE: ‘I want to watch you bleed’

Standard

By Josh Axelrod and David Oliver

For a storyline that spent all season shaking things up in Storybrooke, the Snow Queen’s final curse ended pretty tidily. As usual, love conquered all. Though in a refreshing twist, The Snow Queen reformed herself just in time to make a big sacrifice to save her “sisters” and the entire town. Let’s cast our recap spell:

ONCE UPON A TIME, S4E9 ROUNDTABLE: ‘You’re more than heroes, you’re leaders’

Standard

It’s finally happening: The spell of shattered sight looms over the town as sundown approaches. This is primarily a filler episode, tying up loose ends before the curse actually happens, but it’s actually really important information and plot developments and leads to one huge reunion we’ve all been waiting for. Seal yourselves in a vault before reading, unless you want to be cursed (half-joking):

ONCE UPON A TIME, S4E8+9 ROUNDTABLE: ‘An urn for a hat, as simple as that’

Standard

By Josh Axelrod and David Oliver

Well, it looks like this half-season of “Once Upon a Time” was sort of conning us in a way. It put so much focus on The Snow Queen and her quest for family that we barely noticed Rumplestiltskin putting together his plan to separate himself from his dagger at the expense of Emma. His plan got derailed this week, but Rumple won’t give up anytime soon. And now that The Snow Queen has cast the spell of shattered sight, all bets are off. Let’s dissect two hours of awesome:

This season of “Once Upon a Time” has done a fantastic job of raising the stakes each episode. Over the last few weeks, we learned who The Snow Queen is, what she wants and how she plans to get it. Now we know how she got trapped in that urn and why she’s so distrusting of anyone without magic. Let’s get to it:
