“Scandal” has always been the kind of show you hate-watch. It’s the equivalent of eating a bag of candy corn: It’s sweet at first, but it inevitably leaves you with an upset stomach. This season has exemplified that with some strange plotting and more storylines than the show knows how to handle. But more importantly, #FreeJake.

Emmys 2014 Best Dressed: Red on the Red Carpet

Red was the color of television’s biggest night. While there weren’t any outright disastrous red carpet looks (okay, Lena Dunham’s was questionable), there was some fantastic standout looks and even some surprises. The problem with wearing red on a red carpet, besides the fact that your couture blends in with a carpet, is that it gets monotonous after the fifth gown.  But, some of the best gowns were the ones that didn’t conform.
