Homeland S4E10: 13 Hours in Islamabad

“Homeland” dug itself out of a hole this season.

Another solid episode this week solidifies the upward trend in quality. And, I think, highlights how spoiled we are with 100 percent serialized shows like “Breaking Bad” or “Mad Men” (and on and on) boasting near-perfectly toned, highly intricate season-long stories that bely how difficult it is to sculpt a satisfying narrative over the course of a dozen, hour-long episodes.

And that almost nothing is 100 percent terrible, and even when it is, it’s probably still a lot of fun to watch. “Homeland” has a lot of problems, yes, but it’s definitely not all bad, so I want to start by highlighting something I really love about “Homeland” right now.
