10.) Big Bang Theory

Eight seasons in and most shows would be showing signs of a permanent decline. “Big Bang Theory,” on the other hand, is just as funny as ever. It’s not exactly redefining the comedy landscape, but when you turn on an episode of “Big Bang Theory,” you can always expect to chuckle a lot and laugh out loud a few times. And sometimes you cry too, like when Sheldon FINALLY told Amy he loved her. More often you’ll cringe, like when Stuart had a date with Howard’s cousin who Howard had, umm…I take it back, this is a stupid show. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. – Josh

The Newsroom S3E5: “I’m Scared All The Time”

I never thought “The Newsroom” would be the kind of show to kill off its characters. Well, its major characters at least. There have been brushes with mortality on the show before, but the stakes for the ACN staff are rarely life and death. So when Charlie Skinner collapsed and banged his head on that desk, it came as a total shock. His death wasn’t quite as crushing as Beth’s on “The Walking Dead,” but it was pretty damn close.

Emmys 2014 Preview: Who Should, Will Win

Today’s the day! It’s finally Emmy time, which every TVeefanatic has had marked on their calendars since last year’s ceremony. Last year, “Breaking Bad” won its first Outstanding Drama Series award, Jeff Daniels somehow beat Jon Hamm and Bryan Cranston for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, and Merritt Wever gave either the best or worst acceptance speech ever.
